Maria Regina de Luca exhibited her personal Istanbul at Palazzo Caracciolo in Naples in 2012 and in 2016 she inaugurated a personal space of art and photography in Madrid, the 2D AMOREDEDIOS4 in the ancient headquarters of the Amor de Dios Flamenco Academy with the personal " Dionysus, the Chiaroscuro “. The same exhibition was exhibited in September 2016 at the Institute for Philosophical Studies in Naples and transposed, thanks to the collaboration of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, in tactile format to make it accessible even to the blind.
Dionysian and Apollonian: the opposites from which tragedy and art, ratio and chaos, dream and intoxication are born and which, by merging, generate the transcendent unity of harmony. Caravaggio's Chiaroscuro is a sublime testimony of this and a melting pot of it was a dance, expression of Spanish and Mediterranean culture born centuries ago from a passionate rebellion, where the duende that for Lorca is desire of desire can break out, uncontrollable,: black sound, mystery, pain, pride and tears. In Flamenco, a single and multiple dance, the Apollonian merges into the will to power of the Dionysian: and here is the Chiaroscuro: shape, plasticity and strength of the body, skilful play that illuminates the vital impulse with the musicality of gestures and transforms the proud strength in harmony and life in an art capable of appropriating, and expressing in a dance, the still mysterious, ignored happiness of life ..
The model of the photographs is the great flamenco dancer Cristian Almodovar who personified the great Greek god in a flamenco key.
